Joy

It seems odd to walk out of a theater feeling such joy from the movie just viewed, only to later read online poor reviews of that same movie.

I guess the critics are right. With mega-chaotic family dysfunction; quarreling, love-sick and uber-quirky Seniors; a creatively weak attempt to meaningfully weave into the first 30 minutes TV clips of Susan Lucci soap opera scenes; some of the facts appearing fantasy-like and actually are (1,000 first-run production mops, not 20,000); and, maybe even the last 20 minutes of the movie should have instead been spliced out and included in a quick synopsis in the ending credits.

For some reason (maybe mop Inventor Mangano's persistence and continued partnership with her hero-ex) I still liked, and must have needed, the struggling and basically real-life underdog story, simply titled: Joy.
